Mindful Run Experience

A moving meditation that will enhance your performance and ignite a new love for running!

Do you go for a run and plan your shopping, the replies to those emails, that bit of work you have to get finished, the kids to sort out at their clubs, what to do at weekend? You get back home from your run and it’s as if you haven’t even being aware of what just happened!

This causes more mental fatigue. We live inconstant mental fatigue from the stresses and pressures of modern life so why should we add more into our life when we run? Surely running should be a time for you to be outside, breathing, feeling, listening, seeing, experiencing the richness of your run experience.

By using simple mindfulness techniques we can enhance our focus, running performance, our relationship to uncomfortable sensations in our body, learn to not engage with rumination or negative patterns that waste precious mental energy. and ultimately ignite a new love for running!

In this Mindful Run Experience we will explore different locations and terrains and different techniques that you can use to help keep you in the present moment. Connecting deeply to your body and mind whilst running will develop a deeper experience and take your running practice to the next level of awareness.

During this 3 hour session we will be running lots but there will be times we walk and stand still. It’s recommended that you bring water (1 litre) and some snacks or gels to keep you fuelled throughout the session. Adequate weather proof clothing too as it’s very hard to predict the good old British weather.
